A few dozen hours ago, on Monday 22 January, a large leak of British company data to the Dark Web was discovered. RepKnight researchers estimate that the data of more than 500 law firms, i.e., over 1 000 000 e-mails was leaked. Approximately 80% of this was also leaked together with passwords.
Most of the hijacked passwords was stored in plain text files. The leak is fresh, but more than half of the stolen data was over 6 months old.
