EXATEL and NASK’s cooperation helped stop the attacks on the infrastructure of main Polish news portals from 18th of May. The Minister of Digital Affairs, Janusz Cieszyński, asked us to help with the effects of the DDoS attack and to propose solutions to mitigate similar risks in the future.
‘EXATEL and NASK SA took 5 hours to propose a solution to protect the news websites publishers from DDoS attacks. This will ensure the availability and cybersecurity of the service’
– emphasised the undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Paweł Lewandowski, during the EXATEL Telco Summit.
As a result of the cooperation of the two companies an agreement was signed to establish a strategic partnership for building cyber-resilience of media. Both EXATEL and NASK are ICT entities with their own infrastructure and services to ensure customers’ network security.
It’s also important to note that during the aforementioned conference, TAMA PRO7 – a new iteration of the well-established TAMA system was premiered. It will protect customers from volumetric attacks in Layer 7.
