On July 4, a three-month student internship program was launched, in which there were several thematic paths to choose from, including: software development and research & development (R&D), project management, or the novelty – the space track.

Nearly 800 people applied for internships at EXATEL. Ultimately, 22 apprentices, not only from the capital’s universities, were selected to join us. In addition to students from the Warsaw University of Technology, University of Warsaw or the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, the trainees included students from Jagiellonian University, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and the Rzeszów University of Technology.

R&D and space were the most popular!

This year, 8 people joined the area of software development and R&D. They chose one of the three specializations: Java programmer, C++/ Python programmer, .NET programmer. The R&D Solutions Department is our small internal software house. We are the operator of the telecommunication – an important pillar of our business. We also conduct research and development activities in the ICT field, creating proprietary solutions such as network devices (SDN) and software for cyber security (anti-DDoS TAMA).

Another 6 people joined for our internship in the space path. The trainees will thus enter the world of ‘space’ projects, so they will learn the practical aspects of launching and implementing satellite technologies.

We also welcomed 2 people who joined the IT Department. Trainees will carry out maintenance tasks related to the administration of systems, servers or IT applications as well as tasks related to ensuring the continuity of IT systems operation, depending on the preferred specialization.

Two interns will also support work in the Audit and Analysis Office, where they will gain knowledge and skills in conducting a complete business analysis. They will also learn the secrets of creating an analysis, conversing with internal clients, and planning development work in IT. They will become familiar with the differences in the way analysis is carried out in research and development projects, internal initiatives, and day-to-day work in the ICT environment.

The last 4 people have joined the Project Management Office and will be introduced to the world of project management in the ICT industry, so they will learn the differences in running R&D, investment and internal projects in the two specialties: Project Manager Support and Business Analyst Support.

Learning and working with passionate people

EXATEL employees are passionate and professional. It is from such people that knowledge is best gained, and that is what this year’s trainees can count on in huge numbers. For what else? In addition to the support of our mentors, all participants will also be able to work with the latest technologies. We also provide the necessary equipment and tools to work in a hybrid model or 100% remotely. Summer student internships at EXATEL are paid, and the best interns will be offered permanent employment.
