EXATEL Virtual Desktop (Wirtualny Pulpit) is a new service that we provide.
-
Its high level of security makes it a perfect solution for places where remote work hinders access to important, yet sensitive data. In particular, this is an ideal choice for, among others, government offices, Local Government Units, hospitals, banking or the energy sector.
-
Unlike other VID (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) services, EXATEL Virtual Desktop operates from a Data Centre located in Poland.
Many IT departments ask the same questions: How to provide equipment for all employees? How to give them safe access to corporate apps and settings? Is company data secure? Is the data of my Clients still confidential? The remedy to all these problems is the EXATEL Virtual Desktop.
How does EXATEL Virtual Desktop work?
Authorized users gain access to their virtual desktops using a WWW browser and any device (computer, laptop, tablet or even a smartphone). In the course of logging in, a user is asked to enter his or her security credentials (user ID and password) and for a second identification form using a token. After stating this data, a secure connection between the user’s access device and the EXATEL Data Centre environment is established automatically.
“A lot has been recently written about attacks utilizing a remote desktop. Even a company computer used in the wrong way, at home and after work hours, can jeopardize the security of an entire company. There is no time for testing new solutions in the current situation. We all need ready-made products, which is why it is worth focusing primarily on security – and – to invest in our solution” – said Tomasz Ciepliński, head of the Sales Support Team and the Product Development Team at EXATEL.
You do not have to be an IT specialist to see the advantages of such a solution. Above all, this is security. Besides the globally recognized software from the American company Citrix and two-factor authentication, EXATEL Virtual Desktop offers the most extensive security policy on the market. That includes, among others, controlling file copying, data transfer to the clipboard, and connecting devices such as cameras or printers. Furthermore, you can additionally protect yourself against data being copied from the screen through the use of external devices (e.g., cameras), by introducing a so-called watermark for all users.
Flexibility and great comfort of work
The system enables us to work on any operating system (Windows, Mac, Linux) and even on mobile devices (iPhone, Android), without the need to install additional software. All you need in all these cases is a simple web browser. There is also no need to memorise subsequent login passwords. The one you use at the company is enough.
A service for everyone?
EXATEL Virtual Desktop is an ideal solution for any organization that requires a safe tool for remote work. It is suitable for schools and universities, government units, Local Government Units, hospitals, insurance companies, banks or law firms. This is also a perfect solution for a Customer Service Department or a Call Centre. It provides full compatibility with unified communication tools, such as Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business – which are necessary for remote work or online learning. Importantly, clients do not have to invest in their own computers while receiving full technical support from EXATEL.
Owing to this solution, the IT department can save time, without giving up on security. It also has full control of the data flow between employees, while the employees have full access to corporate documents. This is crucial for the efficient functioning of a company. Through EXATEL Virtual Desktop – it is also easy to implement.
