It would seem that no one needs convincing to take care of their health. So, what about taking care of cybersecurity? Prevention comes with huge benefits – not just in case of health issues. It is also the best solution when it comes to online security.
EXATEL has long been educating its partners and customers on the basics of cyberhygiene. The last week was exceptionally intense in this matter. On Wednesday we finished a two-day training in the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia. There, Pawel Deyk talked about cyber threats, attack and defence methods, as well as best industry practices.
Yesterday, in the State Higher School of Technology and Economics in Jarosław, another training was held, this time on the basics of cybersecurity. 51 representatives of local government units (municipalities and cities), public benefit organizations and parliamentary offices from the Podkarpacie region volunteered to participate. During the meeting, Rafał Magryś, the Vice-President of EXATEL, presented the scope of EXATEL’s activities. Piotr Mierzwiński, on the other hand, showed what threats are posed by cyber criminals, what tools they have and where are the sources of those threats. And first and foremost, he said what each of us can do to protect ourselves, our company, and where to educate ourselves for free.
He also provided the participants with a lot of practical knowledge (for example about phishing and how to protect the company and ourselves against data leakage). This is the information that is most valued by the participants of EXATEL’s meetings.
Cybersecurity starts with our awareness of online threats. We should cultivate this awareness in both our professional and private lives.
More trainings are coming soon. May the cybersecurity be with you!
