We participated in the 22nd General Assembly of the Association of Polish Counties (ZPP). In it, our experts analysed aspects of regional infrastructure security. We also presented an offer of tools designed specially in terms of computerization and ensuring cybersecurity to local government entities.

Szymon Ruman, director of the Public Administration Department: We were happy to accept the invitation from ZPP, which meant a possibility to present our services, in particular, ones related to security, on the ZPP forum. We are a proven partner for local county government, since we already provide services for CEPiK (Central Register of Vehicles and Drivers) – something we actually built and currently manage. This experience, as well as own county-based infrastructure enables us to tailor an offer addressed to the starosties (county authorities).

Tasks of local leaders

The tasks facing the regions are the same that large institutions or corporations are challenged with. Local leaders must ensure efficient communication and access to Internet resources in a reliable, fast and secure manner. Access to the Internet is important for local development and for increasing resident quality of life.

Szymon Ruman: The uniqueness of our offer lies in the provision of advanced security services, because today it is not about providing the Internet, it is about ensuring user security. County self-governments and other self-government units are facing increased cyberattack threats, and the number of such incidents is growing. Cybersecurity is a great challenge that everyone faces. Anyone can become a victim, but it is the administration that bears particular responsibility. The residents trust that the services they use are simply safe for themselves and their families. As a company with vast experience in this field, we want to help secure the vital interests of the residents. As an operator-grade cybersecurity provider, we are able to achieve it.

Based on many years of experience and on analysing the needs of the public sector, we have developed a portfolio of services tailored to the operating profile of local administration units. It is called “Secure Internet for the Public Administration” and consists of four services:

We ensure high connection quality, proactive security management, quick response and support in removing incident effects. Our systems also help in controlling and filtering dangerous content on the Internet. They also meet the provisions of the law, for example, through recording the activity of network users.

It should be mentioned that we are able to protect institutions against the increasingly popular DDoS attacks that paralyse the operation of attacked entity’s systems.
