What we offer?
Every intern has an assigned person to outline the topic and become a mentor for the entire internship period. The tasks awaiting the interns will be simple, and will enable orientation in the field. They will also be very responsible.
We go beyond the comfort zone – and the best interns will be offered a cooperation extension.

Program paths
Internships at EXATEL are a three-month, professional program, with five key paths to choose from:
Cybersecurity
EXATEL has appointed a team of several dozen specialists dealing with ensuring cybersecurity. We have implemented a number of projects involving, among others, critical functional areas of the State.
We monitor security 24/7, identify the vulnerabilities and provide recommendations on how to close them. We also deploy reasonable safeguards, and if need be – we visit our clients to help them in cases of active incidents. In the course of our activities, we commonly utilize the top global technologies, but also have developed needed solutions on our own if they are missing on the market. We do what we like doing and what we are good at.
IT-Software development
The Software Development Department (SDD in short) is a small software house within a large company. EXATEL is not only the owner of over 23 800 km of fibre-optic network. We combine telecommunications with innovation. EXATEL has, therefore, created its own R&D team, consisting of experienced engineers, almost from scratch. They are the people who convert their creativity into ready-made solutions that are applied to meet the needs of all EXATEL clients.
IT infrastructure and support
The IT Infrastructure Department is a dynamic team dealing with maintaining IT systems and networks supporting the company’s operations. We not only maintain our in-house solutions, but also systems entrusted to us by our clients. Our tasks involve optimizing IT systems, searching for new solutions and their deployment.
Project management
The Project Management Office is a team managing R&D projects critical to the organizational, as well as client and external projects that change the functioning of the company. Our daily routine includes managing – budget, scope of changes and project schedule, as well as prioritizing conducted work and mitigating current risks. Every project is a new story for us, where challenges and plot twists are on the agenda.
Network architecture and planning
Every telecommunications network must be planned, built and commissioned. The Transit Network Department is responsible for developing and optimizing the architecture of EXATEL’s entire network. It creates expansion or reconstruction projects regarding the fibre-optic network, as well as modernization plans for active networks, such as DWDM, Carrier Ethernet, IP/MPLS, SDH, etc.
