Over 100 candidates, multi-stage recruitment, and ultimately, selection of the best. Yesterday, our ranks were joined by interns from such Warsaw-based technical universities as the Technical University of Warsaw, the Military University of Technology and the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology.
One in ten
At the beginning of June, we wrote about the launch of the internship scheme at Exatel. Today, we welcomed eight students of the aforementioned technical faculties on board. They will develop their skills at the Security Services Management Office, IT Office and the Network Planning and Architecture Office. Three more will join them in just a few days. The choice was not easy – approximately 10 students applied for every single spot.
Cybersecurity is trending
The interns, in addition to CV verification, were invited for an interview with our HR department, their future superior, and some of them were asked to complete a practical task. They all stressed that they were particularly interested in the subject matter we specialize in – cybersecurity. Although there are many recruiting advertisements for students of Poland’s technical universities, few concern this area of expertise. Furthermore, they mentioned the fact that they knew from the very beginning, which projects they would work on as an additional advantage – we provided specific guidelines in our announcement Therefore, they knew that they would be dealing with issues that really interested them.
It’s not over yet
This is the first such campaign at our company. Until now, we have placed adverts only on employee recruitment websites. Good cooperation with universities and a vivid perception of the university community will most probably lead to further student internship schemes in the future.
