PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna has signed an agreement with the State Treasury that changes the owner of our company. As of now, Exatel is no longer only controlled, but is now fully owned by the State Treasury. Therefore, the sales process, which started in June 2016, has ended.
— Singing this agreement opens a new chapter in Exatel’s history. This step brings the State closer to rebuilding its own telecommunications competences and creating a National Operator of Strategic Networks. It is also another stage in ensuring the cybersovereignty of our country — emphasized Nikodem Bończa Tomaszewski, the president of the board at EXATEL S.A.
The State Treasure was represented by the Minister of National Defence, Antoni Macierewicz.
Changing ownership does not mean withdrawing from previous EXATEL Activity. We will still be operating as a commercial entity, both in Poland and abroad.
