During the EXATEL Telco Summit we presented TAMA PRO7, a new version of EXATEL’s proprietary solution that protects against the increasingly common Layer 7 application DDoS attacks.
DDoS attacks are increasing in frequency, volume, and complexity. They also cause more and more damage to Polish companies, both financially and in terms of image. In order to prevent complete website paralysis – like in the case of recent attack on Polish news sites– reliable protection is a must. Our proprietary anti-DDoS TAMA has been providing protection since 2020 and it has just been upgraded. TAMA PRO7 is launched on EXATEL’s Internet links together with the basic TAMA anti-DDoS protection service and is used to counter Layer 7 application attacks, which have significantly increased in the last few quarters.
‘At #EXATEL we have specialised cybersecurity teams and we monitor a significant part of the cyberspace inside and outside the country and unfortunately, it seems that #DDoS attacks are a strongly growing trend. There are more and more such attacks, they have a higher volume and greater impact on the systems that organisations use. In addition, DDoS attacks are increasingly complex. That’s why the next iteration of our #TAMA solution was built – to counter such attacks even better (…) It’s a constant pursuit. We strive to be, if not one step ahead of the attackers, then at least on par with them’ – said Karol Wróbel, director of the Cybersecurity and IT Department at EXATEL in an interview for Rzeczpospolita.
134 EXATEL’s customers have already trusted the TAMA system, among them are telecommunications operators, banks, or public administration offices.

During EXATEL Telco Summit we also premiered the proprietary TechSystem SDN, which represents the revolutionary approach to the development and management of telecommunications networks and services. We’ve also presented the EXAhub – a new secure video conferencing solution and announced our key partnership with Play and National Research Institute (NASK).
